The Lady with Grace - Okra Flower Vase
The National Library of China (NLC) has in its possession the “Jie Zi Yuan Hua Zhuan” – a manual containing the essence of representative Chinese paintings which was published when Emperor Kangxi ruled the Qing Dynasty. It introduces the technique of Chinese landscape painting, paintings of plums, orchids, bamboos and chrysanthemum along with paintings of flowers, birds, insects and plants so detailed that it has become a treasured model valued by all art lovers.
The designer was inspired by the okra flower from the “Jie Zi Yuan Hua Zhuan” which interprets the unique charm of Chinese painting through modern porcelain design.
The okra flower sways gently in the breeze and with the blue vase body, it’s just like a woman with great beauty and a graceful figure.
